I have always loved flowers. Gifting them, receiving them, buying them for myself when I need a little lift. I just never followed that feeling until my path led me here.
Flowers speak a language everyone understands. It does not matter who you are, how old you are or where you are in life. They say what words cannot. They are not meant to last forever, and that is part of their meaning. What stays is the sentiment behind them.
I am obsessed with texture. Grasses, turning leaves, the way everything outside shifts with the seasons. Designing with something living feels like a little bit of magic, my mind and my hands working together to honour the flowers and the people receiving them.
I love the creative side, and I love the business side too. Planning, sourcing, pairing stems grown down the road with flowers from the other side of the world to create something new.
Keeping the magic
As a little girl, I had a kind of magic in me. I dimmed it as I grew up. Working with flowers is how I keep it alive. It is where I get to play. It is where I feel the most connected to my self. It’s where I get to combine my love for flowers and design into one. I am constantly being inspired by what I see outside and that trickles into how I design and because, no wedding, event or celebration are alike no design is either. I take your vision, your palette and your story (love, etc.), then reinterpret it through my own creative lens.
Three years ago, I told myself I would never run a business again. I was lost, overwhelmed and felt like a failure. I never could have imagined this is where I would be today.
I am not the person I was three years ago, or even a year ago, and I am grateful for every version of me that got here. I believe we get one life to do what we love. If we do not take the risk, we do a disservice to ourselves and to everyone around us. I have always loved telling my story over the years through different realms whether it be in person, through social media or through a podcast. Now my purpose is to bring yours to life through flowers and I couldn’t be more grateful that you are here.

Welcome to my design haus, Alexandra Jean Design. My design style follows the things that make me feel most alive. It’s where my inspiration lives.
Ease. Like a butterfly in transformation, the process should feel light, even when the design is grand.
Movement. Florals that drift and unfold, like a horse running through a field in slow motion.
Story. Every choice, from the first stem to the last, comes back to who you are.
